Restless night for me but the girls naturally sleep like
logs and only Tina makes breakfast. First order of business is to go to Target to get a few last minute things. Given that soda cards for this trip would be $140 each- Tina and Debbie buys some cases of soda and a Co2 cartridge for the sodastream and are set for a total of $40. Thats a
$240 savings between them! We head to Rob and Barbs for another
amazing meal of grilled chicken and mozzarella and tomato salad and potato
salad. Then off to Abbeys horse riding lessons. Tina is thrilled when Miss
Karen agrees to let her ride with Abbey and they saddle her a horse. She has
not ridden in years and wow is she excited. While they are riding throughout
the park Ben takes his dog Honey and Rob, Barb, Becca and Debbie on a field
trip to visit the Burrowing Owls. Three little adorable owls have been
burrowing a next in the ground in the park. We are excited they pop their heads
out for a few photos. OIB estimates another savings of
$100 for the horse ride.
After the exhausted riders finish its off to the Courtyard
pool to refresh. Heat index of 100 degrees means a great swim. Then back to the
Lewis homestead for more food and a game of Rummy. Debbie and Rob have many
laughs and share many fun memories before having to say goodbye and head to the
airport to pick up Lilly.
We greet Lilly at the baggage claim and share travel
stories. Off we head to an Oceanside restaurant for dessert and drinks and a
walk on the beach. On the beach we run across a nice man who is out saving
turtles- it is nesting season so all white lights are off limits and he is
there protecting turtles. Sadly we do not see any. Back to the hotel for a good
nights sleep before the cruise adventure begins! Total savings today $340!!
Keep up the story-telling!! You're doing great:) Am glad you're having fun.
