A New Normal: Travel 2021

Join me as we begin again- as we discover a new way to travel- a safer- more cautious way. May we appreciate every single day we have and not forget what isolation and fear and separation required of us.

July 27, 2017 Dublin
This is the Presidents home- both this and white house designed by Irish who went to same school- clearly similar

Rain Rain Rain

We awaken to the view of cargo boxes, many many cargo containers. Dublins port is in the industrial area- thus we have a free shuttle into town. Our tour cancelled and our day cut short we set off in the rain and cold on the shuttle to catch the Hop off and Hop on bus. There was no specific site we were excited about- we were hoping to find a treasure hunting area and I had the address of a couple fabric shops.

The total travel time was to be 1 hour 45 minutes, however it ends up at about 2.5 hours because of the traffic. We get off to explore the Henry St shopping area when the sun finally appears. We find the fabric store but it is taking inventory. Lily finds a treasure store and gets some curtain samples to make pillows. We  head back to the shuttle and ship- grapping lunch and a nap.

We compare notes at dinner and Steve and Susan had walked 17,000 steps and went inside the buildings we drove by so we got the details. The food is average on this cruise which is why I have not mentioned too much.

Tomorrow is Liverpool- we are venturing out together- Hop on Hop Off bus again.
